Today CIC started processing our apps, but they also put the processing time up to 39 days. I´m still not on ECAS. Give a quick check and see if they´ve opened your file yet.
For the last month or so every time they move the "processing applicants before" date they´ve also upped the time it will take to process.
I look at last years posts with the sponsorship being completed in 20 days....... I´m a month now and if there web site is accurate they just took my application off the shelf today (39 days to go). Guess I was just to slow in getting my act together.
With CIC not acknowledging receipt of packages I´m eagerly awaiting ECAS then I´ll know they haven´t misplaced my application.

Hi Shawn
I just checked the site this morning, regarding our spousal app´s as well. The site says "up to" Sept 26th, and since ours was recvd on that date, am hoping that includes the 26th. I too, checked the ECas site, and still, nothing.
I think when I first started looking, the time frame was like 29 days, then 32, then 37.....Yies.
My problem is, I have exactly 6 months from today, before my medical exam runs out, since we got married before we sent our stuff in. That cost me $900 bucks, plus having to take time off work and school for my kids, to get to the physical exam, so am HOPING i never have to go thru that again........!!!!!

Jacer, I´ve got a bit more time, I did my medical a couple of days before I sent my application, but I´d like to be in Canada for summer. I´d hate for my wife´s first season to be winter.
It seems like instead of processing applications they are just grabbing more off the shelf and upping the processing time. More likely is that they just reassigned workers from family class to help deal with that big lawsuit, as it has a time limit.

I?m also on the same boat. They got my application on Sept 26th (the only thing I know, from DHL express fast track). I can?t see my online status yet. I?m very frustrated and anxious. I was hoping this part would be fast, I mean, it?s just opening and registering your application!! Anyway, there?re a lot of people wanting to immigrate to Canada...

Hi.
Just wanted to tell you, we sent our app in, was recvd by Missassauga, on Sept. 26th, and today, we got our AOR !! YIPEEE......The letter was dated Oct. 25th, so for us, it took, basically, one month.
Any news at your end?
