Subject: need help!
  Hi,
I applied for my PR in February 2004. I am presently in India and lived in Canada for 4 years. I had applied for a refugee status which was denied. I then applied for my PR in February 2004 from Buffalo. In October 2004 I received my instructions for my medicals and police clearence both in India and Canada.I submitted my finger prints from India to the CIC and also the police clearence certificate from India in November 2004. It has been a year and I havent heard since then. Can anyone guide me or tell me how long does an RCMP clearence take?. Why I havent heard anything?... I am confused and lost...Please someone guide me...
I am greatful to this forum and all those people who are here to help each one of us out in these trying times.!!..
Good luck to each one of you out there...

Hi,

You can apply for your CAIPS notes to find out what is going on in your case. Visit www.caipsnotes.com for more details.

You should also write an e-mail to Buffalo (buffalo-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca) and inquire about the status of your application. You should mention very clearly that you got your medical done in Oct/Nov last year (As the medical results are only valid for 1 year).

Thank you (in reply to: need help!)
Hello Kenny,
Thank you for the quick response. I really appreciate it. The next question that I have is that I do have a lawyer who is handling my case in Canada. He has told me we are awaiting the RCMP results. Does it take this long for RCMP to get back?.. Also that do they process the file only after the RCMP gives the green signal?...Should I ask my lawyer to give me the CAIPS file result?... I am confused...Please help me...Thanks...
