Move furniture from US to Canadian Vacation Home?

Subject: Move furniture from US to Canadian Vacation Home?
Thanks in advance for looking at my issue:

I am in the process of purchasing a vacation home in Vancouver that I will use occasionally until I am ready to immigrate there a few years from now.

After the deal closes, I will have a very brief window in which to furnish the place and get it ready for renting. So I need to do as much advance work from the US as possible.

I would like to move some of my own furniture from the US as well as a lot of new furniture which I intend to purchase for the vacation home. I plan to have this new furniture delivered to my US residence in time to be put on a moving van with everything else I want to get from here to there.

I assume that I will have to pay some kind of duties on the value of all the possessions I´m taking into the country. But I am mostly concerned whether this can be done at all, i.e., is it all legal and above board?

Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone knows of a URL where the duty fees are posted, that would be welcome as well.

Thanks!
