| Subject: Client ID on reciept of fees |

Hi,
I´m just about ready to send the whole package to Mississauga to sponsor my wife, and I see on my receipt of fees (I paid on the internet... family class) there is a space on the payer information that says "Client ID"
It says to fill this section out by hand, but I don´t think I have an ID. What do I do here??

Daver, leave that field empty. She will be assigned an ID number when you submit the applicaiton.

Daver, according to CIC if you have every applied to Canadian Immigraiton you have a client id that does not change.
Both you and your wife will have seperate client ids.
You might have different file numbers, but the client id will never change.
Therefore, if you were not born in Canada and a Permanent resident you have a client id and can put that in the space provided on the form. You can call CIC to confirm your client id.

Ok, since I am a citizen of Canada from birth, I need to leave that field blank?

That correct Daver. Leave that field blank.
Basically, Client ID is used(incase int this reciept)If by chance you have paid excess fee or incase your application rejected, they will use this client ID to find out your information and send the money back.

Hi I want to know where can my mother get her Client Id she is trying to extend her visa coz will expire this october and I was helping her complete the application and was asking for a Client ID...help pls. tnx
