| Subject: Request for second FBI clearance |
Hi,
has anyone received a second request for FBI clearance from Buffalo? How long is the clearance valid for? I sent mine in April so should I expect a request for another clearance before the approval and the visa stamp?

Are you living in the States? If not, I doubt they would require a new one.

The FBI clearance is good for 6 months. However, it is entirely up to the officer handling your case whether they will request a new one, so they may or may not request a new one after 6 months. But, just to be on the safe side, request a new one now, so its ready if they ask for it since it takes the FBI 4-6 weeks to get it to you.
