Subject: ielts exam for immigration |
Dea sir ,
I am an international student at BCIT. I have been here about one year, and my english language is axeptable. I want to apply for immigration by skill worker. I wonder to know if I should pass IELTS exam. I have the other factors for applying.

(in reply to: ielts exam for immigration) The maximum points for the Language proficiency is 24 points: First Language (16 points); 2nd Language (8 [points).... so you really need to score at least 7 in all 4 subjects to get the 16 points from English Proficiency...otherwise you might lose a lot of points there. You also have the option to submit a detailed explanation and proofs that you are proficient in the English Language. Nowadays, however, IELTS is highly recommended.

I think you should take the test, and as Joe mentioned, make sure you have a good grades so that you can claim the max points for English.
I took my test about 3 months after I got my AOR, its always good to be pro-active.
