Subject: New applicant
  I am in the process of applying for canadian immigration
I would like to know my chances. any expert please advice
qualification:
MD, MSc (life Science) PhD student (medical sciences)
Experience: Working as full time research assistant ( 37hrs/week)since march 2003 have contract till dec 2006.
Three published peer reviewed articles in international journals as first author.
1 year experience as medical officer
Married, wife has a diploma in education and BA degree and 2yrs teaching experience.
English is not my native language, however, I am providing letters showing proof of my education in English and copies of my publications. In addition proof of presentations in international workshops and conferences.
Do I still need to take IELTS test.
Please advice.

it is to your advantage to take the test. So you know, if your wife wishes to teach in Canada, she will be required to meet the requirements for the College of Teachers in whichever province you choose to land. It may involve her going back for 1 year of education.
