do you honestly believe 235,000 immigration applicants surf the internet or post on your favourite sites? Buffalo has 23,000 approvals every year. I do not see 23,000 members on this website or any other website for that matter.

Please, do not make facts out of your late night assumptions. Actually, what does it matter REALLY if the 2005 Buffalo quota is full? Are you going to withdraw your application because of it? (some hope you do!) Are you going to go and find some lawyer that will sue Canada - for what? Are you going to kill yourself? CHILL OUT.

You have been given an APPROXIMATE processing time. If you are within that period of time, WHO CARES ABOUT QUOTAS? Quotas happen every year. You should be happy that Buffalo is at quota in November! It means they are processing faster than they need to! They are not the lazy slobs you accuse them of being.

Sharon,
When did I accuse them of being lazy slobs or is this just you making the assumptions and reading my post wrongly.

I agree with Sharon, there´s a lot of paranoia going around the forums without nobody really knowing what´s going on.

no, you did not accuse them of being lazy slobs but it is the general assumption made by many others.

not by me Sharon I know they are dealing with huge backlogs of people. I was just saying what I was told in my situation but like I have said in the past everyones files are different. I also agree that there is a lot of speculation over waiting times and quotas etc but there is nothing any of us can do but wait.

the bigger news is that extra money $281.7 million that was requested by the Immigration Ministry to handle several announced projects was denied by the Canadian finance committee. Why... because Mr. Volpe could not explain why he needed it! Now Volpe is crying.

They will likely try it again. I can´t imagine someone being so stupid as to walk in to a meeting without information. I have no idea if this will all get lost in an election call or not.

the extra projects were the increase in parent and grandparent sponsorships; off-campus 2 year work permits for students; out-of-status spouses; ontario-Canada immigration settlement agreement; and the refugee appeal division.

My guess is this is all about politics. I do not see any opposition in principle from the Conservatives about these initiatives. They will all likely go ahead once everyone has had their moment in the news.
