| Subject: Deportation from US |
I am in deportation process from US.
Anybody had situation where was waiting for PR in Canada and was
in deportation process from US.
In US I just overstayed my visa and my work sponsoring did not go through that´s why they are trying to get me out of here.
Any advice?

Pet, When did you apply PR? if you think you close to get PPR. I don´t think it´s matter. But if you just barely apply. this could be a problem. overstay is catagory criminal too.

I did it in July 2004
Got my AOR in August 2004
Still waiting for IA and to close this deal.

I think they only consider that the applicant applying from US should apply after he completes his 1 year legal stay here. They donot see your present legal status. That is my opinion as I have seen some cases where they got PR even though they over stayed.

I see some of the July´04 cases, it´s already got IA. You may want to fax to buffalo. If I were you, I would go back to school and take some classes so I will still in good status.

your over stay is not going to effect your appliaction if you are lucky to get your PR before you are deported. I wonder if you still got your passport with you because they usually keep the passport of person who is in deportation process....if this is the case then you may transfer your file to your home country and relax.......make sure to get FBi clearnce before you leave USA.
