no it doesnt. it just remains the same till they recieve ur medicals n then may be it would change to medicals recieved but that happens sometimes n sometimes it remains in process even after u have gotten ur passport request so e-client is not a reliable thing

They have it because it gives someone in the Government a reason to hire one of their own kids -who think they are a Web designer- that hasn´t even finished High School. Also if the kid says "ecas will be down" every few months, for what ever reason, this will provide a little job security for himself.

i haven´t received my IA yet (spousal family class), but my E-CAS has changed to acknowledge my medical results...does that mean that they have gone past the IA stage and are now into the medicals and background checks?

The only time I´ve seen e-client status change was after a decision was made, in which case the status will say "decision made" rather than saying, "in process." When I spoke with CIC call center officials on the telephone, I was informed that the site is updated weekly. In my case, the status was updated to "decision made" exactly 8 days after the date of the ´decision´ letter of rejection was written to me and my spouse. (spousal sponsorship)
