Hi Shaki,
When people ask me for detailed information on immigration, I usually recommend that they visit three sites:
1. Citizenship & Immigration Canada (www.cic.gc.ca): The official government site and your best resource (naturally) for current, official information and forms. The site is sometimes frustrating to navigate and find info, but nevertheless it´s all there.
2. Settlement.org (www.settlement.org): A semi-official site dedicated to helping newcomers to Ontario. Somewhat useful to you at this stage, far more useful once you get your visa.
3. ImmigrationGuides (www.immigrationguides.com): An independent site with lots of useful information and constantly updated news that you will find useful right through your application process.
There are lots of other sites I could tell you about, but between these three you should have most of your bases covered.

also look at the college of teachers for whichever province you may be interested in settling. You will likely need to take some additional training before you are licensed to teach.
BC is not the best place for teaching positions at the moment. we have declining enrollment. However, the situation may be different by the time you are finished your immigration process, landed and licensed.
If you have french language skills, teaching opportunities outside of Quebec are quite good. It sounds like a contradiction to the above statement but it is not :)
