Check the expected processing time on CIC web-site. They break up by category and processing center.

Follow this link:

Hi Nish,

The current processing time from London is 21 to 41 months.

Hiring a lawyer or consultant will not have any impact on the processing time of an application. All the lawyer can do is prepare a good application so that you are not called for an interview.

There are so many factors involved in making a decision on a skilled worker immigration case that it is next to impossible to guess how much time it will take to be approved. Your case may be approved in 20 months or it may be approved in 40 months ...... no one knows!

Since you are in Gulf, you should also allow some time for BG Check. I hear that if you are living or have lived there, the time it takes for BG Check is more.
