What all kind of jobs one can take up while there in UK with this visa. By the by, i have applied for Canada immigration, but the wait seems endless and this has forced to take up this option.....Anyways i hope someone can help me in this forum.......

If I may ask, what is your nationality and how old are you?

I might be able to help if you give me some more background.

Just curious, but how do you get a working holiday visa if you are from India? I only know of BUNAC and according to their website, it´s not open to people from India.

However, I did find this: http://www.skillclear.co.uk/workingholidays.asp

From 8 February 2005 it is only possibly to take employment incidental to your holiday and you can work for only 12 months out of the 24 months of the Working Holiday Visa duration.

Since the UK is so expensive I would be surprised if you can a) find a decent job on the WHV as it´s only intended for low level incidental work, and b) support yourself for the year you can´t work, as this would take a -lot- of funds!

Also, get your applucation in fast because you have to be 30 or under to be accepted!

what it says is, a citizen any Commonwealth Countries can apply for this visa. and also this visa can be converted to workpermit if i manage to find an employer. yes i have seen it is expensive and taxes too.
thanx for the reply njk.

You can only switch to a work permit if your skill is on the shortage list. I would be surprised if this is the case for you as IT is generally not experiencing a shortage in the UK, tons of people have computer qualifications.

You can still swith to the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme though, not sure how that works. England is a hole, not sure why you´d want to go there but hey!

Good luck!
