Thanks for putting up a wonderful discussion forum like this to address immigration issues.
I currently live in the States and I have to submit police certificate from the US and China.
My question is as I should submit my application package without the US police certificate, then wait for further instructions from the Canadian authorities, do I need to submit the police certificate from China now with my application pockage?
Thank you very much for your help!

(in reply to: Police certificate from the US and China) That is my question too on my previous posts. what i´ve done is submit my application with Police Certificate from Philippines and attached a letter stating I´ve done my finger printing here in Canada and original Police Certificate to follow when i receive it from RCMP.

police ceritificates from a few cities in China (in reply to: Police certificate from the US and China) Hi!
I am currently residing in China and am an applicant for visa to the US. I´ve been lived in three cities in China - Tianjin, Harbin and Shanghai. I have no problem with obtaining the certificate from Shanghai local police and from public notary office, but in the public notary office they said if I need the certificate to cover all around China I still have to obtain the certificates from Harbin and Tianjin. If I get one police cert from Shanghai (covering just Shanghai) is that enough to submit during the interview?
I´ll appreciate your answer. Thanks.

Police certificates in China (in reply to: Police certificate from the US and China) We´re in a similar situation. We are applying for a fiancee visa to the US. We have lived in China for 4 years and we have to get police certificates from 3 diferent cities. Do we have to go there personally or can we send someone? Do you have to have worked in that city? We´re not sure exactly how to get it. If anyone can help, it´d be much appreciated!

I don´t have anyone to act on my behalf there coz I was a tourist of Shanghai china before.. I called the chinese embassy Toronto but according to them they not are catering question about obtaining police certificate coz at the immigration website there´s no any address of the local police that I can send my application for police certificate.i wish and pray that the immigration got a consideration in this situation.. Before I enter Canada I got a copy of it , that´s way back 2009.. I think that one will prove that I don´t have any criminal records commit under Chinese law.

(in reply to: Police certificate from the US and China) Neil, police clearances are required for placed you lived more than 6 months as a resident.

Police certificate from the US and China (in reply to: Police certificate from the US and China) I stayed in China for 6 months and 5 days for work reasons, i traveled with an oficial passport, and i don´t have it. In the CIC website they said that you should present a copy of the passport front page and the chinese visa issued at the moment, this i don´t have either. So i can´t ask for a police certificate.
What can i do? The chinese embassy can sign me a letter that says that this person don´t have a way to obtain the police certificate?
