Subject: Letter of invitation
Hi, my fiance is coming to Canada just before Christmas 2005 as a ´visitor´, and does not need a TRV being a British citizen. He is only letting on that he is my boyfriend, not my fiance, so that they would not be suspicious of him wanting to stay longer (he has a return plane ticket for 6 months from day of entry to Canada). Would it be helpful for me to send him a letter of invitation, stating that he will be staying with me and I will be supporting him for his stay? what should that type of letter include?

Thanks

I think it would not harm if your fiance has an invitation letter from you. You should state your name and your address and the reason why you are inviting him. But most importantly, you need to specify the duration of his stay. If you are worried about him going through customs, I think another good thing for him to have is a letter from his employer stating that he has been allowed to take a vacation for a specific period of time. So that he shows his incentive to return to the UK.
This is just my point of view.

Hopefully everything works out well for you.
