Dear friends i would like to sponcer my wife ,when i get back to canada.How long it takes to get through for wife.We are from India.Just i want to know process time for wife as PR.

no one can give you an accurate estimate but it´s roughly about 6 months

The first step on Canada is currently taking 42days, it might get shorter or longer, depending on how many people have applied. The process once the application is in India takes 1-3 months, but time for passport request and mailing.

Be prepared to wait for 6months but hope for the best.

Hi Raja
There is no fixed time for the application process. I sponsored my husband in April 2004 and its 19 months and we are still waiting for his visa... it depends on your case and somewhat on your luck!!

I applied for my wife visa on aug 18th 2005 and recieved sponser ship approval on sept 10.Recived letter from CHC on 1st october asking for paaport.8th Nov, status changed to decision made for permenent residence.Waiting for the mail to come
