I am a chemical engineer from India. What other skills/certificates should I acquire before coming to canada for better job opportunity?

Your foreign training means nothing to Canada. You need to have the infamous Canadian Experience before you can land on your intended occupation.

Most people I see are on welfare or on disability and doing business collecting undeclared income or cash jobs on side. Decent jobs are impossible to find. You can find a $10 - 11 an hour job if u hunt hard. At the end of the month you will realize that retirees and "uneployed" or the so called "disabled" people are making more than you!!! Seems like in Canada its better to be a bum as it pays more.
