Subject: Arranged employment before application process
I want to immigrate to Canada with my partner as permanent applicants. Arranged employment is the fastest way to do that. I know that Canada needs employees for live-in care work. Only information that I have is that there is live-in caregiver program, which is the most used by people with secondary school. After two years they are allowed to apply for permanent residence. I am general physician and I believe that I could work as carer.

1. Can I use live-in caregiver job as arranged employment to get some necessary points in my application for permanent resident visa? Will HRDC give me confirmation on that job offer?
2. Is it possible to find employer who would allow me to settle down with my partner and child?
3. Are there some other jobs deficient with employees and also suitable for my profession?

Thanks for your answers ! ! !

Have you tried assessing your chance if you are to apply as under the Federal Skilled Worker category? There are a lot of possible job positions acceptable by CIC in your field...here´s the link for the self-assessment...passing point is 67

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/assess/index.html

here´s the link to know your NOC # (National Occupation Classification)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/qual-2-1.html

after getting the 4-digit NOC#..here´s another another link to know the job description...

If being a live-in caregiver is really what you like...please visit this link for futher info

Thank you for your answer!
I have already been on those pages. I would like to immigrate to Canada as a Skilled Worker, but I can?t collect 67 points, the best what I can do is 66. That?s why I need arranged employment. I know there is a live-in caregiver program, but I?m not interesting to immigrate under those terms.
I need any kind of job that HRDC will confirm. I can?t work as physician cause I have to give some exams before that. So, I thought I could work as caregiver because there is a shortage for live-in caregiver work.
Under arranged employment I find:

You do not currently have a work permit, and you do not intend to work in Canada before being issued a permanent resident visa.
Conditions:
? You have a full-time job offer that has been confirmed by HRDC.
? Your employer has made an offer to give you a permanent job.
? You meet any Canadian licensing or regulatory standards required for the job.
Notes:
? You cannot arrange for an HRDC confirmation. Your employer must do this.
? HRDC will confirm job offers in occupations listed in Skill Type 0, Skill Level A or B of the National Occupation Classification.

It seems to me that live-in caregiver job offer can satisfy those requirements. Can it?
I know is hard to find a job, especially overseas, so I?m not sure if I can get any other job offer? So if anybody has any suggestion?
THANKS!!!

I am really not familiar with the live-in care giver.....

Did you explore all the areas to improve your points? Like maybe getting the perfect 16 points in English Language by taking IELTS test. or maybe waiting for one more year to add 1 year to your experience...double check how you rated your education etc..

it is really hard to have an arranged employment but it is not totally impossible...goodluck

so sorry really cannot help you with the live-in care giver info.
