Thanks guys for your feedback. Interesting thing happened. I had checked my e-Client on Monday but it was the same old "We started proces...............".

I checked my e-Client today and found that it has changed to:

"We started processing your application on January 19, 2004.

Interview scheduled for February 07, 2006"

Hey there Kenny! Congrats your application is moving. Does it take all that long to get an interview? It seems like yours took year and a half?

Thanks

Why on earth are they asking for interviews for some people and not for others with similar backgrounds(US masters). It is very surprising that there are so many officers in buffalo who think differently.

To Anonymous:

Why are you surprised? A person´s background is much more than just education. Language skills, jobs skills, age, family... there are a lot of factors at play. Even the way you word letters that you may submit can have a bearing on how an officer perceives your suitability.

Apart from all this, you have to make some allowances for human differences. Much as you´d like to criticize these officials, you have to understand they are not computers, they have to make individual judgment calls. If they have the slightest uncertainty about someone for whatever reason, they have to call for an interview.

Given Kenny´s posts here, he will likely sail through anyway, so good luck to him.

Rana - I have applied for CAIPS notes.

ME - I dont know why it took them such a long time in my case but I am not complaining now :)

Anonymous - Applicants are called for an interview if the immigration official reviewing the case is not convinced by the evidence provided to support the claims made on the application forms.

Looking back I feel that I did make a few mistakes regarding my work experience. But now I have that covered and dont think that there will be any problems during the interview.

Typo - Thanks for the kind words.

Kenny,

I had same experience "-feel that I did make a few mistakes regarding my work experience" but I had covered up after interview. Lets see what´s Caips shows in your case!

The mistakes I made were regarding the work experience. I only provided reference letters and some were the generic letters that companies generally issue. I did not provide any tax returns or paystubs to support my work experience. But now everything is in order.

Interview scheduled in New York - Part 3 (in reply to: Interview scheduled in New York - Part 2)
Hi,
Just received a letter from LA, interview is scheduled on May 2006.

My timeline:
Apply Jan 04
IA Oct 04
File transferred 05
Interview letter Nov 05

Letter stated no to send anything at this moment.

What do you think:

1. When should do my medical ? (letter didn?t mention about medical)
2. Do I have to get the FBI clearance again before interview?
3. What are the most important things I need to know before I go to the interview ?

Thanks
