| Subject: CSIS FAX |
A friend of mine told me that I can fax CSIS to inquire about the status of my background check. Is that true? If yes, could any one please send me the fax number.

Since CIC does not inform where our case is, I´d assume we are a third party to CSIC - that makes us someone they will not communicate with.

At some point of waiting I did call CSIS in Ottawa HQ. They took my ph.number promising to call back. I thought this was the end of it. They called back in 10 minutes and politely said that they cannot update on a status of my thing and strongly recommended to contact Buffalo on a timeline.
Funny enough Buffalo has no clue what is the timeline CSIS has for a particular file but if pressed a bit they ( Buffalo) could schedule a call to CSIS to check the status.
The bad thing is that Buffalo claims CSIS doesn´t give them firm date per each file and also CSIS is a separate agency which is not under Im.Minister supervision.
In my case all steps finished but that security check. E-client on Med.Received for 2 months already. Sec.check lasts for 11 months so far. My origin is Eastern europe so it is not clear why with perfect communication lines and pretty much modern embassy they cannot do faster job.
