Donot worry Jura, for all I have heard, they ask you simple questions about you and your life (what, where, why you did what you did and what you plan to do once in Canada).

So keep calm and be confident,

I didn´t know that they conduct interview in Buffalo...that´s a new info.

Like Starwars said, the officer will basically ask questions about facts contained in your application. Follow up questions will be based on your answers. Make sure you know your application inside and out...nowadays they are focusing questions about your jobs so make sure you know how to describe your job from the heart. Conduct yourself in a professional manner but do not be stiff...just try to relax (hard I know)...be sincere most of all...pray above all...goodluck...

It´s good to go prepared. (I´ve heard from a couple of sources about one particular woman officer who is apparently quite abrasive).

Some tips that might help you:

Hi Jura,

Can you please confirm the location of the interview?

Does the interview letter say what kind of interview it is? Quality assurance, selection or security interview?

To those whom replied me.

Thanks a ton.

Typo : The questions in the links mentioned by you in the reply seem pretty difficuilt. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks again for the post.

Hey, Kenny, the letter from Consulate mentions that a personal interview is required. Other than this there is nothing mmore mentioned on the interview details ( of course the date and time ).

Thanks,
JURA

I could very well be mistaken, but unless a security check is mentioned, it is always a "selection" interview. This is the first I´ve heard of a quality assurance interview. Do you have more info on this, Kenny?

If you don´t mind, could you please tell me how long did you wait to get the date for the interview after your IA?
I got IA recently and have been waiting for it so far.

Quality assurance interview - The visa offices carry out some interviews solely to check the quality of their present system whereby many interviews are waived.

Security interview - If there is anything in your background that warrants it such as certain military service, government position, etc. Some time back there was a post on this forum from a couple who were called for a security interview because they had worked a nuclear scientists.

The only doubts I have regarding Jura´s interview is that it is being held in Buffalo. Generally in USA the selection interviews are held in NY, LA, Detroit or Seattle as mentioned on Buffalo´s website.
