Usually if you are not satisfied with services or a product, you can ask for a money back.. no questions asked..

I´m kind of leaning towards that feeling.. if I can.. while I can.. to ask for my money back.. and take my business to some place better.. like Australia, NZ..

It seems that CIC.. is running like a colonial autocratic old shop.. maybe they should get some computers.. phones.. cables.

Well I guess it is too late, past the 30 days..

if you do not have an AOR you can still withdraw your application. that is what I read somewhere.

what have they done that is different than they told you?

Starwars, I know you are just trying to get an arguement started but you are right, you have every right to take your business elsewhere. And just like any other business, CIC is not holding a gun to your head to keep as a customer.

I believe you can withdraw any time before the actual visa is physically issued. You do lose the $75 sponsor processing fee but the other approx. $1500, what ever the hell it is, you will be refunded.

Also, CIC doesn´t really run like a colonial autocratic old shop, it runs more like a kindergarten, by kindergarteners.

I always thought that CIC was run like any other government department with an insufficient budget and no oversight. High work load and a low budget = piss poor service. Don?t blame CIC, blame the people in control of their budget, the tax paying Canadians.

CIC needs a major overhaul. But that said just imagine the problems they´ll have switching to a new system, between designing the system, retraining employees how to use it, and loosing information in the transfer. I hope they update AFTER my case is finished, I´d hate to be around when they try and update.

The immigration process is shorter than the political term in office. Once people get their PR they tend to forget the hassles of CIC and get on with their lives, and make political decisions that will affect their future not their past. Other than at election times very little is heard about immigration and even less is done to improve the process. The number of people aversely affected by immigration at any given election time is to minor to make a real political difference. I highly doubt there will be any real changes made to CIC in the foreseeable future.

I also doubt there will be real changes because, honestly, people here are scared shittless of CIC. Even after they have landed they are scared to speak publicly against the issues.
