We are Canadian landed immigrants who still meet residency requirements and are plannnig to get back into Canada soon after a 2 year stay in the US. We have a child who was born in the US and have the following questions:
a. Can he travel back with us into Canada on the condition that he is a US citizen and does not need a visa...or could the officers at the port of entry deny entry based on the circumstances ie landed immigrants bringing a child in?
b. I understand that I will have to sponsor him...can I do that while he is residing with us in Canada?
c. Lastly, if he is allowed entry into Canada based on being from a visa waiver country, how long can he stay and can that be extended while in Canada?
Thanks
Ron

(in reply to: Landed immigrants with US citizen kid) My pleasure. Everything will be fine with inland processing for you child, for children I believe they process under H&C grounds.
