Subject: Interview Scheduled in LA
  Hi,
Just received a letter from LA, interview is scheduled on May 2006.

My timeline:
Apply Jan 04
IA Oct 04
File transferred 05
Interview letter Nov 05

Letter stated no to send anything at this moment.

What do you think:

1. When should do my medical ? (letter didn?t mention about medical)
2. Do I have to get the FBI clearance again before interview?
3. What are the most important things I need to know before I go to the interview ?

Thanks

Hi,

1. Medical...you can have it done now or at least give 4 months allowance... so probably the latest will be by mid-Jan.

2. FBI....not a bad idea but can also wait till Jan or Feb maybe

3. a. Know your application data very very well...the purpose of this selection interview is to verify the facts that you have written in your application form...
b. Know your job really well...past and present
c. Complete the document list that should have come with the interview letter
d. Make sure your passport expiry is at least 6 months from interview date.

Some more useful reading before your interview:

As for the medicals, put it off until as late as you can. If all goes well, you have 12 months after your medicals to enter Canada, so delaying the medicals until later gives you extra flexibility.
