Subject: SCOTLAND to CANADA ,advice on areas
Hi all this is my first post,as the title says i am from Scotland, my wife & i are considering moving to Canada as our economy is going to hell in a basket.
Not only that CANADA looks fantastic, clean and lets be honest your houses are amazing where our homes in Scotland are tiny, just go into remax and take a look at whats on offer over here its dreadful we are paying roughly £160.000 - £185.000 for a 3 bed house with a garden just big enough to swing a cat around.
oh and bye the way 60 grand in our money converts to $313.000 canadian dollars and looking at the property in Canada we could buy a 300 bedroom house with 6000 acres of land. well maybe i am over exaggerating but you get the drift. fuel prices are a joke 6 months ago we were paying £0.86 for a litre of petrol now its £1.14 a litre nearly £6 pound a gallon = $11.74 Canadian dollars a gallon.
I don´t think you gas is as expensive as that is it ???
Anyway we were looking at a couple of places to go on the net and we´ve come up with 7 areas that look good but at the end of the day i am better asking some of you guy for your opinion.
I would hope to hear the truth and not some tourists bullshit cos we are planning to move over in about 2 years, so we are going to book a holiday for next year to do some recon on theses places.
Okay area 1= NEW BRUNSWICK
2= GRAND FALLS
3= SACKVILLE
4= FREDERICTON
5= HAMPTON
6= MIRAMACHI
ST ANDREWS ON SEA
These are the areas we have been looking at, some areas might be a no go zone or a great place to live we don´t know but you guy might??
I have 2 very young daughters so we are wanting to stay in a family house in a good area not to much to ask for is it???

Should visit each city / town (in reply to: SCOTLAND to CANADA ,advice on areas)
Have you visited these places? I think that is the best suggestion I can give you. If you are planning to move and live in one of these cities / towns then you may as well invest some time and money and visit each of these.

Good luck.
Sam
