Subject:
I am an international student studying in Canada. and i will be applying for universities this year. I passed my TOEFl test already (285) and i expect to get 85 average (5U+1M)

I will apply for life science (minor in Japanese, if possible) What schools in Canada have the best life science programs? I can only find rankings for med schools but not ranking for undergraduate life science programs.

I generally dont care about campus life so spare those bs, it would be good if the school has a strong reputation, esp outside Canada (in states for example)

I can only speak for Ontario universities...

But University of Toronto´s life sciences are very well regarded, they have a Japanese language program, and the school has a good reputation internationally. Other Ontario schools have good life sci programs (McMaster comes to mind) but don´t have the Japanese program.

I´d also recommend checking out University of British Columbia. It too has both a good reputation and a Japanese program, but I´m not sure how their life sci is ranked.

Macleans magazine puts out an annual university ranking that may cover life sciences, but I´ve never actually read it so can´t say for sure. UofT tops it for medical school, and I know UofT med prefers its own undergrads when it comes to admissions, so it´s safe to say they have at least a very good life sci department. For the stuff you´re looking for I think UofT is probably the best choice but don´t forget to check out UofBC too.
