Subject: To transfer or not to transfer?
hey guys. i am a 1st year student at a small university in frerdericton, new brunswick (st thomas university). i always wanted to go to mcgill but didnt end up going there because i got offered a full tuition scholarship here at st thomas. now i really want to transfer to mcgill but i have my doubts. here i pay 6000 can-dollars a year, at mcgill i would pay like 9000 dollars more, is it worth it? further i am kinda scared my marks would drop significantly. i have a 4.0 gpa but st thomas is considered a very easy liberal arts school.
also i was wondering if transfer students entering their 2nd year of univeristy studies can live in residence at mcgill and if yes what are the chances to get a room.
thanks for any advice

Expect your average to drop. If you´re not in sciences or plan on grad school then your final GPA doesn´t matter as much as the school´s name except for a few fields (eg civil service).

Yes you can live on rez and you should get a room if it´s your first year at the university and you apply early enough.

Expect your GPA to be sustained if you are a jewish student.

IM jewish and Mcgill loves jewish students. You´ll get good marks...

Don´t listen to him, just a second rate Pales^H^H^H^H^H Concordian Terr^H^H^H^H Student.

Being Jewish doesn´t get you good grades at McGill. It only gets you scholarships.
