Subject: Transfering to Uni

When u transfer from one Uni to another, do u also have to meet the requirements which the freshmen have to meet? eg. McGill requries 3 A levels for freshmen. Now if i get into Western with 2 A Levels, will i be able to transfer to McGill with 2 A Levels or will McGill only consider my first year GPA?

Yes, universities have different admission requirements for High School students and transfer students. If you complete one year at a university with a minimum mark (ranges from 2.0-3.0) you can transfer to another Canadian university without meeting their Hish School requirements.

The exception to this is if you want to transfer to a program with specific High School course prerequisites. In that case they don´t care what your HS or A level marks were, just that you have the necessary prereqs. Your first year uni GPA is the most important factor.
