in order of quality i would probably say go with uoit. i heard they finished 5th out of 13 universities. their second year students in engineering were competing with other universities forth year students. the school is strong for engineering and through more time will be one of the best in engineering. the other schools are stronger for something else. ryerson = journalism, ottawa = politics, windsor = ??? uoit will be known for its engineering, unique ones are automotive and nuclear engineering

ryerson and carleton´s aerospace/mechanical engineering programs are good.

UOIT is new, although i wouldn´t doubt their engineering programs.

ottawa and windsor are not really that great.

york doesn´t even have an engineering faculty.

I would hardly call these school 2nd tier. After all they do go through the PEO accreditation. Its assumed by people that they are second tier.
