As a native Arabic guy, I agree with the first ranking by the Korean one. But i don´t agree with the second. Because I know that UofT and UBC are also strong. Maybe they are not as strong as Lakehead, but still they are good.

Would that be a North Korean or South Korean´s opinion?

Lakehead must be really promoting their crappy school in Asia.

Anonymous poster #3 is right - weak schools like lakehead & calgary are promoting their crappy courses in asian countries like singapore, korea, mainland china ... being non-canadians, prospective asian students won´t know which univ are good, which r not ...

myself live in singapore & am an alumni of U Calgary ... i enrolled in U of C without knowing its poor reputation (which all canadian high school students seem to know abt) - it seems their courses are dumbed-down to ensure average students pass their exams ... and for many years, they´ve been admitting students with poor results from within canada & internationally - thats why they are always ranked last on Mcleans ... (i wonder if they r still so careless in their admissions process) ...

i really regretted not transferring to U of A - thats the biggest regret of my life, having to live with the stigma of being from a lousy univ ... years ago, when i graduated, nobody in singapore (except for those tricked by the promoters) had heard of U of C ... now many years later, nobody knows abt it still ...

i hope the UC administrators are reading this -´commitment to access´ is a bad idea ... ! Admit the better students and be as selective as possible, how abt this - admit only the top 20% of applicants ... ´cos thats the only way to improve your freaking low rank in mcleans becos I CARE abt my alma mater´s reputation ! and btw, UC is not even ranked among the top 200 by Times Univ ranking ...

the good univ in canada r - mcgill, UBC, alberta, western ontario, queens, toronto, waterloo, mcmaster - the rest are not worth considering.
