Subject: **2005** Toronto University ranking!!
Those are the Universities in/close to Toronto. I disregarded the general studies (ie. B.A ) . This ranking is mainly base on professional programs (ie. B.Comm, B.sc, B.Eng)

1st=UT
2st=McMaster
3st=Ryerson
4st=York

To the previous poster: the title of this thread should answer your question as to why McGill wasn´t included

The city of Toronto should not exist until Mcgill has an establishment there.

Dear Ranking Man:
Just for your information is:
1st, 2nd, 3rd.. not 1st, 2st, 3st..

beside that, your ranking seems pretty right to me as well.

York beats all (in reply to: **2005** Toronto University ranking!!)
First of all,
This ranking that was made up is based on all areas of the university, not just engineering. It is true that York is not as strong as UofT for engineering but is rated much higher than Ryerson. Please check your facts!
For Business, everyone and their mother knows that York is the best in Canada and defintely better than Rye-High and UofT.
For Law, York´s Osgoode is rated number 1 in Ontario and number 2 in Canada. It is joint with NYU´s School of Law (which is number 3 in USA behind Colombia and Harvard). Once again, check it out. Just google it!
For Fine Arts, York is number 4 in North America and number 1 in Canada. The best and the most talented graduate out of York. UofT is not even a contender in this division although Ryerson is promising but its faculty is quite new.
For Political Science, not even taking into account that York is clearly a right-wing school with a new wave of liberalism causing mass rallies/protests/public speakers including Hilary Clinton in February, the School of Political Science at York is rated number 1 in Canada. Ask any expert.
For the Faculty of Education, Kineseology and Psych, York also comes out on top.
Maybe the absence of a Medical School gives students such as yourself the opportunity to overlook such accomplishment. Well buddy, here is a opportunity....please read more about York and what we are. Do not use some useless ranking to put down your idea of the top university in Toronto/Canada without providing some claim or back up.
I believe you have your research cut out so on behalf of the entire forum, thankyou for your stupidity and DO NOT EVER INSULT THE BEST UNIVERSITY IN CANADA: YORK UNIVERSITY!

York probably have better business programs (The Schulich School of Business ) but as far as the technical programs like Engineering and Science, UT and Ryerson are better in thoes areas then York.
