5 MIT
4 UW at St. Louis
3 Brooklyn College, Duke, Michigan State, Toronto <--
2 Cornell, Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, Waterloo

don´t even compare a uni that was founded in the 19th century to one that was founded in 1957

it´s quite clear Waterloo pwns Toronto when it comes to math
Waterloo > Toronto

Be glad we have two world class universities in this TTT country called Canada who can compete with the likes of Caltech, Princeton, Harvard, etc.

What would become of Canada without Waterloo and UofT?

A festering TTT that´s what.

don´t ever mention UofT in the same sentence as Harvard, MIT, Stanford, save yourself from embarrassment
and plz don´t do it in the states, you´ll be laughed out of the country

He´s right you know... without schools like UofT, Waterloo, UBC and McGill, what would Canada have?

York? Lakehead? Windsor? What a joke of a country we would become.

You should be proud that UofT, UBC and McGill consistently make top 100 university lists year after year.

What´s the matter? Your little scheme of bashing UofT has backfired on you now that you realize UofT beats the crap out of several elite US universities?

How has it backfired? have you read the past 20 posts with different rankings?

but wait...

fuck the other rankings, Putnam is the GOLD STANDARD right?

(in reply to: Putnam Math Contest)
You must be talking about the other 20 some posts of the "golden standard" 90% acceptance rate with no source?

This is one of those rare posts where the OP has actually posted a source.

Go UofT Math!

more like the ft ranking where schulich > rotman
or forbes where uoft doesn´t even show up

just examples out of the 20 or so rankings haha

but of course, Putnam´s the gold standard, no argument there!@!!

Why bring that TTT school called York in to this thread?

York is the last place to go for Math.

that TTT school owned a supposed school who competes with the american elite!
that´s just embarrassing for u

The only person I see calling Putnam the golden standard is some Yorker.

A gold is worth waaayyy more than a silver.

Toronto = 3 first place finishes
Waterloo = 2

Even in overall wins there´s not much difference... Waterloo is only ahead by 1.

You haven´t watched the olympics before have you?
