(in reply to: University of Toronto, How many students?) UofT´s medical school is the most selective in Canada. Their median entrance GPA is around 3.88/4.0 (this is approx top 1-3% of a university´s graduating class). Acceptance rate is around 15% and there are more than 10 applicants for each seat in the school.

(in reply to: University of Toronto, How many students?) uoft has about 69,000 students. they have the most part-time students in all canadian universities.
UTM and UTSC are both very easy to get into. Their selection rate is about 80% of those who apply. St. Georges is more selective, about 60%. For most programs, it is very easy to get into UofT. The medical and engineering is very hard. That is what UofT´s reputation is held on to.
Big schools have their benefits and disadvantages however. I go to UofT st. george and I really dont like it that much. But, it is only three year program and I did one already. Almost everyone lives at home at UofT, like myself, so I dont feel that alone in misery.

student # (in reply to: University of Toronto, How many students?) yes, but the failure rate is about 80% too. Horrible University. If you want to feel like you are just a number among 60000+ students there, be my guest.

(in reply to: University of Toronto, How many students?) Actually, I think U of T is a great school, especially for engineering. I never feel like I´m just a number. Professors take the time to learn the names of students and they never make exams or midterms on the same day. U of T engineering is tough but it is definitely the place to go if you want a challenge. Go to other schools if you cant handle it lol
