Subject: Med School (NOSM)
I am thinking to attend Northern Ontario School of Medicine in 2007. Would my chances of acceptance at NOSM be higher if I do my undergrad sciences at York or UofT? I´ve heard at UofT it may be harder to get good grades coz of the learning environment. Should I choose York over UofT to boost my chances?

I want to be well prepared. Does it matter which institution I do my undergraduate degree? NOSM is not the only school I plan to apply to. It jst happens I live near Sudbury. I know it is still early but I want to consider all possible paths.

In Canada, it doesn´t matter where you do your undergrad. It´s only if you´re applying to the states.

yes... but NOSM gives preference to northern students(laurentian, nippissing) because of the need for doctors in the north.

The whole point of the school is to get more doctor up north, if you really want to go there you should go to laurentian

Original Poster = Yorkie

He tries to sell his school in an alternative way.
Good marketing skill.
