No it won´t be easy to get easy marks in an engineering program anywhere in Canada. That includes UWO. Try adding some business courses to the mix and you´ll do just fine. UWO has a good biz program so take advantage of it even though its engineering is not strong as Waterloo UofT or Lakehead.

Actually, Lakehead engineering is pretty strong for undergrad. As with all other Canadian engineering programs, they´re all strong, really. In the recent 2006 Ontario Engineering Competition, Lakehead won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals. They went on to the National Engineering Competition and took 1st place in one of only six competition categories finishing ahead of Waterloo. With a student enrollment only a fraction of other popular engineering schools, Lakehead didn´t fair too badly.

To the dude with the funny hat: weren´t you the guy who said in a previous post that Lakehead grads don´t go to Harvard Law?

I remember seeing some government stat someone posted here on Ontario engineering school failure rates. Queen´s, Toronto and Waterloo had the lowest dropout rate. Highest dropout rates were reported for Laurentian and Ryerson. UWO was somewhere in the middle as I recall.

yeah i think it was 69% graduate... western is fairly difficult to get into though while laurentian and ryerson are not, so its proportional. While UofT and Queens are a little bit harder than western to get into but almnost everyone graduates from those places. In my personal opinion i would say that it is more difficult at ryerson, laurentian or western than at UofT or queens.

It seems some schools make you pay with good marks to get in. Others like Ryerson, Laurentian and UWO, you pay to get out.
