Berkeley is sometimes not in the top 20 in US News depending on the year
shows you how consistent rankings in general are.

US News ranks by program, not overall. Overall, Berkeley is easily top 10.

its hilarious how all of these university "experts" debate the prestige of canadian universities when outside of canada they don´t even rank close compared to institutions in europe, asia and the united states. international employers will prefer a University of North Dakota degree 1000000 times over than a canadian degree. keep debating because outside of canada y´all are nobody´s be it mcgill, u of t, waterloo, etc...even if you land a job 99% of the time its with an american multinational company...later

US News has rankings by program but also has rankings divided by National, Master´s, Liberal Arts and Comprehensive categories much like Maclean´s divides its rankings by Med/Doc, Comprehensive, Primarily Undergrad.

Most foreign students only attend Canadian universities because they got rejected or couldn´t afford to go to an American or British university of their choice.

Having said that, Canadian universities are all of high quality, anyone with a PhD from a Canadian university can be pofessor in any country, including the U.S.

hah i hope this takes you UofT guys off your high horse... cause that is exactly how things are viewed in the US. Oh and UC berkley is somwhere in the top 30 on the site i got that from. UC berkley is good but there are 7 IVY league schools ahead of it and Duke,Cal tech, and MIT on top of that so theres 10 already that blow berkley away.. and im sure the other top are formitable as well, i recognise a few prestigious names.
