You should include Concordia in Quebec. Concordia is on par if not above Simon Fraser in B.C.

SFU is just ranked higher (in Macleans) becuase of the Asian factor.

Royal Bank´s chairman, CIBC´s CEO, and Manulife´s CEO are all graduates of Concordia University. Whom does SFU have that has made it to the top of Corporate Canada?

Concordia has the John Molson school of business.
Does SFU have as a prestigious business school? What´s it called?

Concordia has the second largest graduate engineering faculty in Canada located in a modern 17 storey tower.
What´s distinct about SFU´s engineering faculty?

Waterloo is No.1 for reputation says Maclean´s. They solicited over 100,000 university officials, high-school principals
guidance Counsellors etc and respondents said Waterloo is the best.

My bad, Concordia should be on the Quebec listings. And the rest of the listings still holds true. York, is only known for it´s business/law mostly, but the overall prestige does not meet the top 5. And it´s not that I don´t give credit to york because I attend U of T, it´s just my personal opinion.

Mclean´s did not solicit 100,000. That number is bogus. It solicited more like 11,620.

you are a moron. can´t you read? mclean´s solicited 11,620 people. 40% were uni officials i.e. deans, provosts deans...

if your 100,000 is right, the 40,000 would have been uni officials. For the forty something unis, that´s like 1,000 officials per uni. It´s ridiculous to say 11,620 is the number of respondents.

LOL. There can´t be that many officials in a university. A mid-size school like waterloo´s entire faculty only consists of 895 members.
Maclean´s says they solicited 11,620 people. At 11% response rate, only about 1,278 responded. The ones who did not respond, there´s no telling if they would have responded the same way.

LOL!!!

I hope none of you are aiming for law school!

"For the reputational survey (16%), respondents rated the universities in three categories: Highest Quality, Most Innovative and Leaders of Tomorrow. Best Overall represents the sum of the scores."

16% is the weight given, stupid people.

"When looking at alumni support, institutions received points for the number -- rather than the value -- of gifts to the university over the past five years (3%)."

3% is the weight given to alumni support for a total of 19% at stated in the title.

"This year, Maclean´s solicited the opinion of 11,620 individuals across the country."

This means 11,620 people gave there opinion for the reputational survey.

Understand, class?

P.S. - Go UofT!!

no way maclean´s got 11,620 respondents. waterloo dumbass is full of shit. the only thing he´s clinging onto is a reputation survey based on very-iffy results.
