The University of Toronto has been ranked No. 18 in Newsweek?s list of the Top 100 Global Universities, the highest-ranked Canadian university on the list. The University of British Columbia ranked No. 31 and McGill ranked No. 42.

This ranking system is messed up! 1) Dartmouth and Brown are not in even the top 100. 2) UofT is ahead of John Hopkins. 3) Ecole Polytechnique (which means engineering school in French) is 43rd and likely means that the idiots in Newsweek lumped all french engineering schools together as one university. After seeing this list, I have become really sceptical about ranking systems.
