Subject: University of Toronto: A Real Fact
All their money pours into the medical/engineering/graduate schools and research.

All other programs are underfunded and very weak. Just because of its reputation, UofT can still recruit some bright students into the Faculty of Arts and Science or even in UTSC/UTM.

Frankly, would there be any students in UTSC and UTM if both schools renamed to the University of Scarborough and the University of Mississauga??

Don´t forget these two schools have alomst 20,000 UofT wannabes but claim/identify themselves as regular UofT students.

On some older posts, some UTM and UTSC students were worried about the exact wording on the printed UofT degree. They seemed very concerned about the M and SC campus identifiers as if that would erode the prestige of the piece of paper.

Yes it´s true that UTSC and UTM are lower in reputation than that of UTSG, but, both still hold a stronger reputation than certain schools such as UOIT, Nipissing, Lakehead, Ottawa, Carleton, Guelph, Ryerson, York, Trent... practically all other universities in Ontario except UTSG. It is still difficult to obtain an "A" at either schools. It is still part of U of T, just in a different location, is that too hard to comprehend?

So, UTSG > UTSC > UTM > All

lol! these kids can´t get UofT off of their minds!

If UofT programs are underfunded, what does that say about every other Canadian University?

^Other schools can simply make better use of the funds they get to support undergraduates.

Dude, UofT undergraduate students get more money out of their school´s budgets than any other "top" Canadian University. Check out the stats on the Maclean´s website.

Honestly, you kids need to give up your obsession with UofT. Every post mentions UofT in one way or another.

^ It´s an average figure for the whole UofT student population. Actually, UofT spends much more on medical, engineering and other professional schools. All other programs/schools just get a small portion from the budget.

Why not accept the fact that UofT is just a plain or even below-average school in the Faculty of Arts and Science and UTSC/UTM?

I am a Torontonian. Don´t mislead others on the internet. The Globe and Mail University Report Card has already reflected the poor satisfaction from UofT students.

Keep trying, bud.

Maybe if you keep spending hours out of your day thinking up new ways to bash UofT, you´ll actually damage it´s reputation. Just maybe...

or...

You could go study or get laid or something..

Just a thought.

^ 1,200 students in a psychology/economics class at the Convocation Hall of UofT.

You can lie to yourself but not others.

Why not visit the website of Globe and Mail??
UofT students even ranked their food services with a grade D.
Just admit the fact and get used to it.

Good reputation doesn´t mean a good quality of education and university life/experience.

The reputation of UofT comes from its medical school and research only. Almost all the undergrad programs are underfunded. That´s why UofT increases its class size at the undergrad level. It is EASY to do that.

Don´t forget UofT has the largest med school in Canada. And it raises the average budget per student.

That´s why any student surveys kill UofT. I agree that.

Most Torontonians already know Western and Queens provide a much better overall university experience for undergrads compared to UofT.

Queens > Western > Toronto

The Globe & Mail survey reflects this opinion every year.

UofT is only good for grad school, this is where research and reputation really matter.
