No way, best public university for film is NYU. The best private film schools are also in NY. I can´t think of anything comparable in Canada.

NYU New York University is not a public university, but a private one. Its film program is also excellent, it has produced many academy award winners.

However, the USC School of Cinematic Arts is just as good, if not better. it is established in 1929 as a joint venture with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Big time directors such as George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and Ron Howard all came from USC film school.

USC is a private school, therefore its tuition is freaking expensive for its undergraduate studies. So make sure you have enough money for it.

Seneca is clearly one of the best schools in Canada. A Seneca student has already launched a forum website at www.univforum.com

Thanks for the suggestion. I know USC and NYU is the best in the world, but which one is the best in Canada?

I really don´t want to take the SAT

In that case I don´t know what to suggest. York film stands out in Canada but its shite compared to its Yank counterparts. I´d look closer at US film schools to see if they actually need SAT scores... keep in mind that like Fine Arts programs they care about one thing - your portfolio. If you have the talent then fine art schools are satisfied with a GED and basic literacy.

You always have the option of studying film at York or Trebas or whatever and then going somewhere else more intensive after you graduate.
