Ontario Board of Professional Engineers reported that Canada currently has more than 100,000 of surplus Engineers, thanks to bringing 10,000 surplus every year! This is the key issue, not the quality of degree. As a result, on the average only 58% of engineers coming out of the Canadian schools can manage a permanent job in Canada. Now how would you explain this? At least there mustn?t be any question about the quality of Canadian degrees. What?s the explanation of such sorry figures for them? Why they are also having tough time to manage jobs and many of them have to either continue menial jobs or leave the country?

I had US Masters in engineering, had US experience, then got the 2nd Masters from the best Canadian school U of T, that couldn?t secure me a job in Canada. I?m not alone, it happened to most of my immigrants class mates. So please don?t misled people by telling the fairy tales of bad degrees. That may be one of the reason, but still can?t explain the major problem at all.
